Chapter Ten

Tony fumed as he walked off the bridge and toward his room. Sidney had ordered him to collect some of his things and take them to Craig’s room. Honestly he would’ve stayed with Craig if the guy had just asked, but being ordered to stay with his lover certainly didn’t seem right at all.

“Are you seriously going to follow me around all the fucking time?” he shot over his shoulder to Craig following a few steps behind him.

“I thought you’d like some help packing,” Craig shrugged.

Releasing a string of curses, Tony opened his door and went inside. He wasn’t sure what it was about this situation that bothered him more, being ordered to sleep in someone else’s room or having the entire crew find out about him and not knowing who might betray him. At least he knew that if anyone did hand him over to Crane the mercenary captain was likely to cut their throat upon delivery. So, yay.

“Is this all you’ve got?” Craig asked as Tony hauled a bag over his shoulder.

“Don’t need much,” Tony explained. “Some changes of clothes and the basic necessities.”

“Damn. Well, let’s go.” Craig turned from the room and led the way to his own. Tony was happy the larger man hadn’t offered to carry his bag for him. At least Craig realized he was strong enough to handle his own shit. Then why did he suggest they stay together during this whole debacle?

“You can put your things anywhere,” Craig said as they entered his room. “Sidney’s going to address the crew later, so be ready.” Without saying anything else Craig left, the door closing and locking behind him.

“So, I’m a prisoner in my own lover’s room?” Tony asked the empty space. He wasn’t entirely sure how to take this situation. On one hand he liked the idea of being locked in a room with Craig for endless hours. Oh, the things he could think of to pass the time! On the other, he was used to having his run of the ship. Not being able to leave without an escort was seriously going to suck.

Sighing, he picked up his bag and walked into the closet. He found a couple unused hangers and began hanging his clothes up. He slipped some things into a few empty drawers before going into the bathroom and setting down his toiletries. The only personal item he had was a star map he’d purchased with his first pay from the crew. He set that on the table in front of the couch.

Taking a seat he turned on the large screen and flipped through Craig’s rather massive movie collection. Tony found it a bit interesting that almost all the movies were from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. It didn’t seem like he had almost anything from newer eras.

“He’s into vintage films.” Tony smiled as he selected an old monster movie. “Cute.”

Zoning out on the massive radioactive dinosaur destroying old world Japan Tony allowed his thoughts to flee and his mind to clear.
